Frequently Asked Questions

Have a Question? We are here to help.

Who benefits from the consultation?

Many who benefit from speaking with us are juggling busy lifestyles while climbing the corporate ladder and trying to manage their stock compensation, 401(k) elections, and investments along the way.

Our mission is to make the complex simple, so those who benefit most from our services have nuanced financial and tax planning needs that require specialized expertise and are looking for help overcoming them.

Typically, those working at Shell, Chevron, BP, or other major energy companies who’ve reached or exceeded the $1 Million threshold in retirement savings find the most value in our services for the fee we charge. Therefore, they often benefit most from taking advantage of our complimentary consultation to see if we’re a good long-term fit for their needs.

Is the initial consultation really free?

Yes! We have a no-strings-attached initial meeting so you can get to know us and what we offer, and in return, we can better understand your needs and determine if we’re the right fit for your financial planning. For those who decide to work with us after the initial meetings, we charge a tiered fee based on assets under management you can find here.

What should I expect in the initial consultation?

The goal of our initial consultation is to provide a thorough understanding of how our firm can add value to your family’s financial picture by creating a mini-financial plan for you.

We utilize a consultative 3-step process to create this financial plan by learning what you have in place today and where you want your financial plan to take you in the long run. In these meetings, we review your portfolio, 401(k), compensation package, and various company benefit elections to uncover financial planning and tax-saving opportunities you can leverage within your plan. You can learn more about our process here.

After our initial meetings, we offer a mini financial plan for those who don’t choose to work with us, or a comprehensive financial planning strategy and easy implementation plan for those who choose to engage with us as clients.
